How the Unit Operates

Whenever your vehicle’s ignition is ON, every second the system stores GPS coordinates which are an electronic ‘snapshot’ of its exact location.  By comparing these, the unit is able to precisely calculate position, speed and direction of travel

As soon as the vehicle is parked and the ignition is turned off, the unit goes into standby mode. If it is not moved or turned on for 12 hours, the system goes to sleep to conserve battery power – which is what most systems on the market don’t do – so they drain your motorcycle battery within a week to 10 days.

If anyone takes the motorcycle off it’s kickstand, the system looks for 2 other inputs: The ignition being turned ON within a certain window and a third input that is unique to each owner. If it doesn’t see both conditions, it rightly assumes that it is being tampered with and sends a text message and/or e-mail alert to the owner. You can also be notified if the vehicle travels beyond a certain radius called GeoFence or if it exceeds a programmable speed.

Note: If you are in an area where you cannot access internet or cellular service, the system allows you to simultaneously notify another authorized user to maximize your recovery effectiveness. These are user programmable on our secure tracking site.

The final step is to access the internet and our secure graphic servers, track the vehicle’s position, speed and direction of travel and take the appropriate steps to intercept and recover the vehicle.

We have developed a digital GPS recovery system specifically for motorsports by doing 3 things.

1. Figuring out how motorsport thieves think (which is differently than auto thieves.
2. Discovering what serious enthusiasts wanted in a theft recovery system but couldn’t find.
3. Uncovering and then solving the practical and technological limitations of existing systems

Considering these three aspects, we were eventually able to design an effective and affordable theft recovery system that worked!
